Be a mermaid in an ocean full of fish.
Hey everyone and welcome back to part 2 of my tattoo diaries. If you didn't read my part 1 then I suggest you hit the back page and give it a read. But if you want a short version of it then the basic line was it was a tattoo a regret getting done.
But this post is about my favourite tattoo so far to date. I wanted to get a mermaid to represent my star sign which is Aquarius. I wanted something that would intwine water and water based elements or creatures and the first thing that came to mind was a siren/mermaid.
I got this tattoo about three years ago and was a little birthday treat to myself. It was done by my good friend Jack Troughton in salisbury who is still my tattoo artist today, I love his work so much that I pretty much wouldn't go see anyone else. I would definitely recommend a little scroll on his instagram to get your own views and opinions of his work, you won't be disappointed. I had a basic idea which I got off Pinterest, I let him alter bits and pieces and incorporate his own style. The tattoo took roughly between three and four hours and I got it on the right side of my thigh, it was also my first big colourful piece too.

Ive always be facinated with mermaids, I even can admit that I'm a big fan of the Disney film the little mermaid, guilty! I can't resist buying anything that is to do with the ocean and mermaids, ive bought so many art decors, figures and mugs that are somehow linked to it all.

In the future I definitely want more aquatic tattoos to join my mermaid.
Thanks for reading folks.
