Brass be gone!

Love keeping blonde hair rich, white and pure? Hate brassy yellow tones? Then this is the one for you!

As I have previously mentioned before in other of my blog posts, I am true a colouring junkie!
My hair colour for the past 2 years has been going lighter and lighter each time I go visit my friend who is a professional hairdresser.

About 2 years ago I was my natural original colour which is mixture of a brown/auburn red colour. As much as I do like my natural colour I have always found my way of going to the blonde side of life. Blondes do have more fun, or so it is said.

Each time I have gone to visit my stylist I have been going between a warm strawberry blonde, a golden blonde and now I am finally building the courage to go white (Platinum). Its been a long process but its also has been a healthy process. Which is the best best choice.

In between the time I leave the salon and go back to get my hair re-done, it is known for blonde dyes to go a brassy yellow blonde colour. This is normal so if anyone starts to freak out please don't. All colours fade and dull out after a while.
But with blondes it is recommend to look into using a purple based colour shampoo and conditioner. The purple tones help neutralise golden blonde tones and revive back to an icy ashy coloured toned.

I have used a purple tone shampoo before (Touch of silver). It was a good product to use at first but I must admit that over time I felt it stopped working and affecting the feel and condition of my hair. Sometime it would feel brittle and dry and the purple tones would not be strong enough to dampen down the brassy tones not matter how much I used or left it in for.
But I definitely can recommend the Redken purple colour extend range. I have only used it a handle of times but have found that it worked its magic of banishing the brassy tones in my blonde hair from the first wash. It doesn't stain my hair or the bathroom tiles when using it as some others I have tried in that past have. The conditioner is also very good, it almost feels like a treat mask because of the way I makes my hair feel so shiny, glossy and healthy. And also it was a great bargain to be bought on Amazon too!

I most definitely recommend Redken for all types of blonde hair. And all its other product ranges. You will not be disappointed.
